An established public outdoor range
Garland Public Shooting Range opened to customers in 1969. Jim Day founded and built the range. Today, the range continues to provide public access to covered pistol and rifle stations plus self-operated clay-pigeon throwers.
Lifetime range cards issued. This is an aggregate card count—not a claim about current customers, active cardholders, memberships, or visits.
Stations: Garland currently operates 20 pistol lanes, 26 physical rifle stations, and 7 clay-pigeon thrower stations.
Open every day, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, including holidays. Walk-ins are welcome.
Built around a straightforward range visit
Visitors can use the pistol, rifle, and shotgun areas during the same paid day, purchase range supplies in the lobby, rent from the published firearm list, and request available cleaning, mounting, repair, and rifle sight-in services.
